PerioMed
PLAQUE IS UNAVOIDABLE
Dental plaque is a thin, sticky film that occurs naturally on the tooth surface. Proper brushing, flossing and rinsing can remove or disrupt the normal daily accumulation of plaque to keep teeth and gums healthy.
GINGIVITIS IS REVERSIBLE
This often painless, early stage of periodontal disease is characterized by inflammation and bleeding of the gums. Gingivitis is an infection that requires the removal of tartar (hardened plaque) which can only be completely removed by a Dental Professional.
PERIODONTITIS IS CONTROLLABLE
Periodontitis occurs when a bacterial infection spreads and destroys the gum and bone that support the tooth. This more severe stage of periodontal disease often leads to tooth loss.
